Empowering and Inspiring

Siblings Jenna, Jonathan, and Dana Levy established The Farlight Foundation as a formal way to carry on their family’s philanthropic tradition of little by little making the world a brighter place. We each have differing areas of interest, experience and expertise, but our overlap is always in our expansive yet down-to-earth thinking, and we seek to reflect and amplify the deep work that organizations are doing in their communities around the world. 

Our foundation is still young, but in the past five years, we have slowly been establishing our voice as one that believes strongly in the power of inspiration and imagination – particularly when it comes to kids and those who guide them. We feel driven to support unique experiential learning opportunities in the form of small-scale after-school programming in STEM, like at Girls’ Garage in Berkeley, and through the arts at Play on Philly and 826 Boston; and to help stimulate the learning process, be it through palliative care education in rural communities in Uganda, inspiring the next generation at the Kennedy Space Center, or across the nation via National Geographic’s Grosvenor Teacher Fellows.

Our hope is that through The Farlight Foundation, we can help individuals better see and kindle the magic that already exists within themselves, in their immediate communities, and in the world at large.
